Those of you who have a interest in all things World War 2 will notice these Swedish low boots look somewhat similar to the German war time versions. The Germans started the war with jackboots (which they generally preferred) but to save on leather they started making low boots - Sweden seems to have taken a similar stance. These Swedish versions have many small differences however, such as no hob nails, pull tabs and different small aesthetics and markings.
Made with a full leather construction, they were certainly built to last over comfort. Although most of these will be well 'worn in' - many could do with some beeswax leather treatment applied, especially around the 'vamp' bend in the boot as they have hardened over decades in storage. The heels are made from rubber but the front end of the sole is just leather - the Swedes would go on to take many of these to the cobbler later on and add rubber soles to the front. If you fancy taking these anywhere near a hill, we would recommend doing the same!
Despite their incredible age, these still have years left in them. With a unique vintage style some of you might be tempted to beat the pavement in your denims with them. Others (such as airsofters) might see an opportunity to put together a cheap 'rough enough' WW2 German impression. Get them today before they are gone forever!
