Long time no Schanigarten 
They're back, the fabled Austrian combats. Softer than the mountain footwear, these elusive boots are hard wearing and pretty good nick for their age.

Designed for combat situations, means that these boots are more than capable of handling a variety of outdoor terrain and are more lightweight than the mountain boots. The leather material is both sturdy and flexible, giving them an advantage over more rigid boots, for activities like hiking or trekking. These are a fantastic pair of boots for paintball, airsoft - or those who just live in combat boots, offering great protection and mobility. As usual, these boots were made for walking, so get your size if you see it.

    Amazing boots!

    For reference, I wear a size UK 8.5 in Salomon, Lowa, and Magnums and these fit perfectly in UK 8.

    You'll want to grab some insoles as my pair arrived with old leather floors and I suspect some may come with none at all.

    Great boots though, I wear them to work for 8+ hours and my feet have felt great. Comfortable to walk in, nice and sturdy all the way up when laced high. The leather is super soft and nicely worn in, tread was barely worn which was nice.

    Not the greatest performance on wet floors/rocks, they're about as far from anti-slip as a boot could be.

    They look great with a bloused trouser and compliment a leather jacket nicely.

    Style: 10/10

    Comfort: 9/10 (-1 because they're quite heavy)

    Durability: 9/10 (-1 because the leather scuffs easily and requires some care)

    Value: 10/10 I use them in most of the situations I'd wear a Salomon Quest 4D, just not on wet terrain. Considerably cheaper, you could get like 4 pairs of these for the price of a pair of those.

    Happiest Birthday Gift

    My son had wanted boots like this for a while so I got them for his birthday. He says the quality is excellent and sizing was right. After a 4+ mile hike on our property he said he realized just how much difference a quality pair of boots made. At 6’6” not a small man, that says a lot.

    Sturdy and stylish

    Awesome boots that go with any outfit. Took 'em out on a rainy day in the city and really enjoyed NOT getting my feet wet thanks to the gusseted tongue. Traction was alright as the soles were still in usable condition. Got them in my usual UK 9 which fits true to size IMO and there was plenty of room horizontally which was nice. Would highly recommend!

    Well made and great shape

    These are your basic old school full leather combat boots. The ones I got are size 50 or UK15 size. These tend to run a little smaller so I got the larger size and they work great. The tread is almost perfect. I will get many years of wear out of them.

    Classic Combat Boots

    These boots are excellent! They have a classic, vintage combat boot silhouette while being lightweight and fast to put on, courtesy of the speed-lacing hooks.

    They arrived quickly and in great condition. The boots were soft and comfy from the first wear and continue to remain so!

    As to sizing, they are true to size. Enough to wear some medium socks with a thin insole, but would need a larger size to fit dual socks or thick insoles.

    Definitely worth the buy.

    Oh, and naturally they look excellent when worn with either ANZUG '75 or '03 trousers, so that's a plus too!
