USGI M-1943 field jacket in surplus condition. This is the outer shell jacket only. It features a button-front closure and multiple front pockets typical of the M-1943 pattern.

There is a small bit of white paint on the lower front, fraying on the right cuff, and small stains on the upper back. Brought in to replace the earlier M-1941 field jacket, this model set the precedent for all future field jackets used by the US armed forces and many other militaries over the world. The M-1943 saw service in the latest stages of World War 2, and into the 1950s during the Korean War.
