The USAF CWU-36/P Men’s Summer Flyers Jacket is a lightweight, fire-resistant flight jacket introduced in the 1970s to replace the MA-1 for warmer climates. Constructed from aromatic polyamide fabric, it provides protection against heat and flame while offering comfort during flight operations. Featuring a zip front, angled chest pockets and knit cuffs, it became standard issue for U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots. Its functional design and military heritage make it a sought-after piece for collectors and aviation enthusiasts. This jacket from 1993 is in good condition with light scuffs and stains to the outer fabric, particularly on the lower front. The elastic cuffing has pilling and 2 small holes to the right wrist cuff.
