Wolseley pith helmets became the designated sun hat of the British Army in the late 19th century to the mid 20th century. It was described as the "Wolseley pattern cork helmet". The large, swept-back brim provides great protection from sun and rain.

Adjustments to the size can be made with the interior hook and loop strap and chin strap. An iconic look and a stand-out sight to see these days.

Great Sun protection and looks great to boot

Bought one of these helmets for protection from the burning NZ sun. They are very light, comfortable and have a chin strap to keep in place when it's windy. Great for tramping, doing jobs around the backyard or just being out in the blazing sun. Now I know why the NZers in the Dardanelles liked them so much.
