Description

These Bundeswehr (German Army) desert boots are exactly what you would expect quality wise - however for a 'desert' boot they have a few surprises. The designers must of had Afghanistan in mind when designing these as they have a lightweight waterproof Gore-Tex® lining. Environments like Afghanistan have a huge amount of variation in climate from scorching desert to freezing snow. These boots cover them all.

Every military boot needs a good sole. These boots have good deep treads on them for cross country performance and are non-slip/puncture resistant, performing equally well on more urban surfaces. The outer layer consists of a suede leather lining and Gore-Tex® patches to let your feet breathe. On the inside the boots have a thin, flexible Gore-Tex® lining to protect from water/cold, yet not too thick so you can still keep cool when it is hot climates. The insoles are moisture wicking so you can dry them out easily, something everyone needs when sweating away in the heat. If you are after a tough, lightweight boot that can handle summer and winter, then these boots might just be for you!

  • Genuine German Army surplus

  • Suede leather outer lining
  • Non-slip, antistatic, oil & puncture resistant sole

Have had these since new three to four years
Used mainly for hunting in the southern alps . I have found them to be hard wearing and extremely comfortable and hopefully they will find some more UN issued ones as I really like and rate them

Haix German Military Boot

The boots I received are quite literally as new. I think they look and feel great and as with virtually everything I have purchased from A&O, quality and delivery times are fantastic.
However, the size I purchased (UK8) is unfortunately quite tight across the bridge of the foot and quickly becomes painful to wear. I have persevered in trying to wear them in, hoping they will stretch, but to date after about 8 hours of wear, they are still tight and uncomfortable across the bridge - I guess in someways that is a testimony to their quality, that they are not going to stretch anytime soon.
I always purchase UK8 and seldom ever experienced shoes/boots being too tight, but I guess that is one of the risks when you cannot try something on before purchase. In hindsight I should have gone for a UK8.5 (possibly even a UK9) as I think that would have been the perfect fit for me and I'm almost tempted to buy another pair (in a larger size) as I really do like these boots.

German desert boots

I already have the German combat boots and they are great; comfortable, tough and hard wearing so I was expecting similar things from these Haix boots and I am not disappointed. They are comfortable and look very durable and nearly new. Extremely fast delivery too - 48 hours. Extremely happy with these.

Haix Desert Boots

I received my Haix Desert boots 6 days ago . They are the used ones . Well they should be labeled Hardly Used . These boots were in almost new condition . They are beautiful boots , very well made and supremely comfortable . I use 10½ , these fitted perfectly
with summer weight woolen socks . If one was to use heavy woolen socks I'd recommend going up ½ a size . The toe of the boot is wide and high , perfect for Jandal trained feet , the boot holds the feet perfectly with no slip forward, cramming the toes, or sliding back on steep terrain . The boots seem to breathe perfectly , and haven't leaked in crossing shallow creeks or in wet grass. These boots are ideal as quiet stalking boots or general walkers .While the soles have plenty of grip and are not at all slippery , I wouldn't wear them on hard rock mountains , then again that is not what they are intended for . The speed lacing hooks are rounded and seem to be made of cast metal , this means they wont cut and wear laces and trouser cuffs as pressed metal ones do . I own a pair of German Desert Fox boots which cost at least twice as much new and these Haix boots seem , to me , to be at least equal or maybe better .
They are a great buy .
