Back in 'Nam, you might have had one of these to keep you hydrated. The stock standard, humble US 1 quart (~0.946 L) plastic canteen, but these are Vietnam era! The dates of these are on the bottom. 

Made from sturdy, lightweight plastic, these ones have been around the block. The colours are mostly olive but the the odd stray green one is in there too. As with all used hydration gear, you're going to clean it up really well if you're going to use it, eh. An item for reenactors, outdoor adventurers or collectors seeking authentic gear from the Vietnam era.
