Description

This style of helmet was used by Soviet forces during WWII. These particular helmets are dated in the 1950's, so they didn't see any action in WWII, but the same style none the less.

The helmets main shell is made from steel with a padded oilskin liner connected with a cotton drawstring to adjust the size. To hold all this in place we find a cotton webbing chin strap, fastened by a slip buckle.

The P-2 printed on the inside of the helmet means medium/large size.

Features:

  • Genuine Russian Army surplus
  • Solid steel shell
  • Oilskin liner
  • Cotton chin strap

Post war Soviet Ssh 40

Got to love these helmets! an epitome of "Great Patriotic War" & "The Cold War". I couldn't just take one of these.. but two!!
Made from 1940 through to 1960. These are from the '50's so get ya Geiger counter out!!! Must add that the two I received where made in Stalingrad " CT: "Stalingradskiy Traktorskiy" (Tractor factory of Stalingrad)" Got to like that!
