Description
Genuine German (Bundeswehr) issue suspenders for the all-important task of securing your trousers. Officially named "Koppeltragegestell" which translates to "belt suspenders". Used for non-combat operations where you don't need to carry a tonne of weight around your belt. This can be used with pants such as the German Army Moleskins.
The Y-shape design is made from an elasticated material with leather button tabs. The button tabs on the back sit on the end of the suspenders - these are not adjustable. However, the shoulder straps have tabs on the front for adjusting the length.

I received these braces as part of a bigger order.
They arrived broken and unusable/ useless.
An unanswered email and several calls from Aus to N.Z. The staff were most unhelpful for what would be very easy fix at their end.
I've never had any problems in the past, but this experience has left me very jaded.

Initially I purchased this item and was sent an unusable pair with a broken buckle??
Unfortunately I'm unable to withdraw or edit my initial negative review, so here is a more positive amended version.

I must admit, when I received the German armies suspenders, they were exactly as described. They were German and they were army suspenders.. they did appear to be black in the advertisement. That was definitely not the case and they would have fitted wonderfully if you were approximately 5 foot two being 6 foot two they become nowhere close to fitting. One might say that they were perfect for children but as a pair of suspenders for an adult they were an absolute waste of money..
Probably my fault as I didn’t inquire about the size as they were sold as German army suspenders one would’ve thought they were of a size that a soldier could wear. This not being the case..

The item is genuine German Bundeswehr surplus, and as noted in the product description, the listed colour is olive drab rather than black. The description also specifies a maximum total length of 113 cm, with the shoulder straps being adjustable from the front while the rear button tabs are not adjustable.
As these are genuine used military surplus items, sizing and fit can differ from modern commercially produced suspenders, and we understand that the 113 cm maximum length may not be suitable for everyone, particularly taller customers.

Probably the best there is, I'd have had at least 20 pairs in the last 40 years. Good and strong great for my riding leathers. And any pants or dungarees that need that little extra help. Can be uncomfortable with some fish back leather dungarees as the buttons aren't always close enough or they're too high up the back.
