Description
Originally a World War 2 era design that was later adopted by the East German Army, this steel helmet became closely associated with the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik). Its distinctive profile and flared lower edge make it an easily recognisable Cold War surplus piece.
Please view latest images which show noticeable surface wear consistent with long-term storage and use. The steel shell has visible scuffing, paint wear, and areas of surface rust. The interior retains its leather liner with sponge padding and an adjustable leather chin strap. A solid addition for collectors seeking an authentic East German surplus helmet with clear signs of service life.
