Works a Treat

Got this one and the swiss one. This one is longer and seems more versatile while I've been outside working alot this winter - worked a treat, keeping warm around neck, over mouth, over head. Has not got itchy and easier to take off (than swiss one). Genuine product. One size does seem to fit all. Easy to pull up or pull down and does not seem to over stretch. Much better value than the other commercial ones I have had in past. My go-to addition on those 2-4 degree mornings.

Everywhere you go!

I absolutely adore this wonderful piece of equipment! I have had mine for over two years and I take it everywhere and wear it everywhere! It truly saves me on a cold winter night and even during the day. Truly can make the difference between feeling cold or feeling snug and warm. Any cold night and every day during winter this is suited. Might be a bit crazy for summer but even then it is a wonderful piece of equipment! One of my best buys for something so cheap!

Very good condition, warm and inexpensive. I grabbed a couple to keep in different packs

Nice an long

I have a couple of Kathmandu polar fleece ones and a macpac merino and thought they were good, this I saw this one, it’s nice and long and the wool is fine so no coarse itchiness. Best value for money when compared to branded ones. I wears every day for morning walk. Probably for 3 months of the year. This is now the new king of the pack.

Fine and versatile

I brought 2 and they arrived promptly, thanks. Fits well. Of all the wool products I have purchased so far from Army and Outdoors this seems to look the finest. I am not saying the other wool products are sub-standard, not by any means, but I mean the texture/finish on this one is very fine and unique. It has a very fine almost fluffy surface, which indicates to me it would trap heat well, yet the material is quite thin, light weight and comfortable. Fantastic stitching quality too. Genuine British Military product- there is an O.D. genuine issue tag with NSN number. Headovers 'appears' unused or mint, with full stretch still in them. One size fits all. Envisioning it could even be worn with a beanie in extremely cold conditions. I am yet to test and compare with the Croatian and Swiss balaclavas to see which one best suits my needs, but I like the fact this one can be worn as a scarf while travelling too, while I'm not out in the bush.
