Both the waist, wrists and collar are adjustable, enabling you too trap your body heat better and keep warm. The front of the fleece has a full length zipper opening and a high collar that runs up to your chin. The jacket also has armpit ventilation zippers incase you work up a sweat or need to batten down the hatches. The elbows, neck and shoulders are reinforced - particularly handy if your lugging a heavy pack or leaping into action with any vests/web gear. Loaded with zip secured pockets with large pull tabs, storing and accessing additional gear is no problem in the cold.
