Boonie hats are an excellent form of protection against the sun as well as keeping rain and light out of your eyes with their large brims. The hat has a pair of ventilation holes on both sides to allow your head to breathe in humid conditions. Equipped with a foliage ring you can get a bit of local vegetation in there for additional camouflage. They also come with a chin strap that can be adjusted with a plastic toggle.
