German Flecktarn Boonie Hat

The boonie hat was originally designed for U.S. troops in Vietnam. This boonie uses the German Flecktarn pattern, created for bushy and woodland environments. The use of spots creates a "dithering" effect, which eliminates hard boundaries between the different colors in much the same way the squares in the newest digital camouflage patterns do.

These boonies provide great eye protection from driving rain or harsh sun. They feature screened grommet holes for comfortable ventilation and an adjustable chin strap to keep the hat firmly on. With a snap dome on the right-hand side you can wear it slouch hat style, having one side pinned up.
