These Austrian waist packs are generally issued in a 4 piece kit with a backpack, belt and suspenders. This pack can be attached to a belt around the waist to carry additional gear underneath a rucksack. By itself, the pack can be worn around the waist (if you have a belt that will fit) or over the shoulder with the sewn on shoulder strap. A versatile pack own its own!

Constructed from nylon with canvas straps, metal buckles and a rubberised bottom for durability. The contents secure in with a drawstring around the top and a flap which fastens with three buckles on the front. A small pouch sits inside the main compartment for separating your goods. ALICE attachment loops on the sides allow you to carry a canteen or other compatible items. A tarp or poncho can be carried by the straps on the bottom of the pack. Pick up one of these for travelling, urban use, or bring it to the paintball field.

  • Usable as a shoulder bag or waist pack (with a 5.5cm wide belt, not included)
  • Three buckle and drawstring fastening system
  • Bottom straps for additional gear
  • ALICE attachment points on the sides
  • Internal pouch
  • Rubberised bottom for durability

What a bargain!

I love this pack! Hooks into my LC2 belt and harness for easy carry. Can take a lot of gear and I usually pack it with all my sleeping kit. Sits below the Austrian rucksack perfectly and can even take some of the weight off when it's resting on it, letting the harness do most of the work. Straps on the bottom let you add even more stuff! For me, this is the perfect accompaniment to the rucksack, which is the perfect bushcrafter pack for the price. Alternatively, just get an ALICE frame and put everything on that.
