The Austrian M1959 net was intended for use on the M1 Stahlhelm (steel helmet), though the cover will fit on any steel helmet similar to the iconic US M1 helmet shape. Primarily, helmet nets are used to cover up that shiny steel target on your head by allowing foliage to be attached to the outside.

It was not unusual to find Austrian nets over top of US woodland camouflage helmet covers for effective concealment. This version has a braided cord that runs around the bottom and tucks under the likes of a M1 inner liner to secure it. An iconic, vintage military look for reenactments or as a prop for photo and video shoots.

  • Genuine Austrian Army surplus
  • Braided cord loop on the bottom
  • Can fit over different shaped steel helmets
